Secretlab Magnus Pro Desk Review
The MAGNUS Pro wins the desk category the same way a good case wins a build: by making the messy part — cables and power — someone else's problem.

Most standing desk reviews compare motors and wobble. For a gaming setup, the deciding factor is usually none of those: it is whether the desk can absorb a dual-monitor arm, a PC, a mic boom, and ten cables without turning the floor into a nest. That is the lens this review uses on the Secretlab MAGNUS Pro — and the reason two cheaper desks still appear in the picks below.
What the spec sheet actually publishes
The Secretlab MAGNUS Pro is a full-metal sit-stand desk built around a 1500 × 700 mm (59.1 × 27.6 in) powder-coated steel desktop with a magnetic surface. The height range runs 650–1250 mm (25.6–49.2 in), moved by dual electric motors at 30 mm per second at under 50 dB, with three height presets on a built-in touch panel. Rated maximum distributed load is 120 kg (about 265 lb) including the 25.5 kg desktop, on a steel frame that brings total product weight to 57 kg. Warranty coverage is up to 5 years, with one honest catch: the electronic control panel and control box are covered for 2 years only.
Two numbers matter more than they look. First, the load rating is distributed, not a point load — a heavy ultrawide on a center-mount arm is fine, but edge-hung accessories deserve caution. Second, the 650 mm minimum height is taller than the FlexiSpot E7’s 579 mm-class low end; shorter users should check their seated elbow height first (our gaming desk height guide walks through the math).
The cable management argument
This is the part competitors cannot copy on a spec sheet. The MAGNUS Pro includes a full-length under-desk cable tray (about 136 cm long) concealed by a rear hinged cover, so cables are accessed from above rather than fished from below. The integrated power supply column runs a single cable from wall to desk, powering both the motors and anything plugged into the strip inside the tray. Add the magnetic accessory ecosystem — cable anchors, sheaths, headphone hanger — and the desk is effectively a cable-management system with a surface on top. We cover the generic version of this workflow in our cable management guide, which works on any desk; the MAGNUS Pro just removes most of the improvisation.
Where the competition pushes back
The FlexiSpot E7 undercuts the Secretlab badly on price — FlexiSpot’s own US store listed the E7 at $499.99 at the time of writing — while rating a higher static load at 355 lb, a lower minimum height of 22.8 in, and a 15-year warranty that includes the motor and electronics. What it does not have is anything close to the tray-and-cover system or the metal magnetic top.
The Uplift V2 is the configurator’s choice: 355 lb lift capacity, 3-stage legs, 20-plus desktop options, and a 15-year warranty covering the entire desk including the top, starting at $599. Reviewers consistently note it as the stability benchmark; its cable management, though included, is an accessory kit rather than an architecture.
Who it suits
Buy the MAGNUS Pro if your setup is dense — multi-monitor, mounted PC, streaming audio — and you want the cables gone for good. Buy the E7 if budget decides, and the V2 if a specific wood top or maximum height range decides. The setup hub follows the rest of the category as reviews land.
Verdict: the only desk where “cable management” is the headline spec, and the price is the fee for never thinking about cables again.
